“The Lost Romantic” is, pure and simple, a picture book –– there is no written narrative other than title pages for each section. Here are six dream sequences featuring a little girl who wanders into various imagined worlds. The stories are meant to be open-ended.

The images are mixed media collage, combining painting, cutouts, real objects, including fabric, and digital effects. The images were, in large part, inspired by the materials themselves. The making of this book was great fun, although it involved many experiments and revisions, and is meant to lift the spirits a little.
